Jim was a wonderful, talented man, a "Simple Man" if there ever was one. He loved his family and had a big heart to show it. He had a way to make you feel like you were part of his family, no matter who you were. 

To Jim, I'll always cherish the memories we shared, the talks we had, and the time we spent together, from eating wings at your house when I asked to marry your daughter, to doing shots of blackberry whiskey after Christmas dinner. I love you, man. Rest easy and rock on until we see each other again. 

I’ll never forget Jim Powell, he was one in a million. Growing up two doors down from him , I have quite  a few  childhood memories ... We jumped off the side of his house with an umbrella to see if we would float down like Mary Poppins... Nope, didn’t work. We also tried a towel like a cape ( superman) And again nope couldn’t fly. Haha.. We played with BB guns and would shoot each other with only a couple pumps. He won , I still have a BB in my lower back.. although I do believe he pumped his gun more than twice... And how his Mom would paint our faces like members in the KISS Band .. He always wanted the one with the star on his eye ( Ace I think)  ... I’ll never forget him , he gave me a BB to make sure I don’t.. haha    Forever Love to you Jim Powell. 🍻♥️

Jim was a family man. He loved his children, his mom , dad, and brother. He was a music man and his all time favorite musician, Allen Collins, became his obsession (I could tell stories for sure). I'm sure that after a family reunion with his grandparents and his dad, that he found Allen Collins and they're having a party in heaven.  He also loved his friends dearly. In the beginning of our time together he kept in touch with some, mostly Rob Ackary  and Bob Nail going to the sound room as often as he could. As the children grew, he was in touch less and less but rest assured he never forgot. He was a good father and a good friend to many. I am happy that he found love again with Tami and that he was able to reunite with many of his friends. I have enjoyed watching some of the videos that I've seen.  We can take some solace in the fact that his suffering was short and that he's no longer in pain. RIP Jim and watch over the kids when I can't.  You're their guardian angel now. Heaven gained a wonderful soul but we know that we'll see you again one day. Until then keep rockin.  I'm so sorry for the hurt that the whole Powell family is feeling. My prayers continue for healing and peace. Tami we'll keep in touch. 

Gonna miss ya friend. Always looked forward to seeing ya at chuck's and having those catch-up conversations with you but I'll keep close to my heart those encouraging words you always had to say to me when we reconnected. Rest easy Jim.

The best memories with jim was always hanging out while jim and john jamed out in the garage or swimming and i can say i had the coolest father inlaw in the world and i love him like he was my own father we love you jim and you will always be alive in owr heart and memories.

I look forward to the day I can think of James and smile for all  the joy he brought to my life. Today is not that day; today I cannot rise above the profound sadness of losing him so soon.  For those of us who had the honor of knowing him...  we are the lucky ones.  A kinder man there never was.  Always on our minds, forever in our hearts.
