James Emmett “Jimmy” Eddy, 67, of Paden City, WV passed away peacefully in Jacksonville, FL surrounded by family. Jimmy was born on March 2, 1952 in New Martinsville, WV. He was the oldest son of Margaret (Neff) Eddy and the late James N Eddy of Sistersville, WV.
Jimmy was a 1970 graduate of Sistersville High School. He was a member of the Teamsters Union
697 and retired from Slay Transportation in 2011. He was also a member of the Sistersville Elks Lodge 333.
Jimmy was a Christian by faith. He enjoyed spending time outdoors with his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his mother, are his wife of 42 years, Christy (Watkins) Eddy, two daughters, Heidi
Hubbard (Wayne Martin) of Friendly, WV and Jennifer Sterns (John Kovar) of Jacksonville, FL. Grandson
Ryan Hubbard of Morgantown, WV and granddaughter Jamie Kovar of Jacksonville, FL. Brother Michael Eddy and sister Janice Eddy both of Sistersville, WV. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Jimmy will be held at later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association www.diabetes.org.
