Helen Hancock Jones, who was born Nov. 12,1932 in Macon, Ga. went home to be with the Lord on Sunday Aug. 19,2018 at Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl. surrounded be her loving family, after an extended illness. She had been a long standing member of First Baptist Church Jacksonville (almost 60 years) where she served actively as an outreach leader during many of those years. She was employed and retired from CSX Railroad. She was an avid ballroom dancer who both competed and taught others throughout her life.
She is survived by two sons, Steve Estes (Brenda), Curtis Estes (Mimmie), and one daughter, Sheri Estes Batten (Floyd); five grandchildren, Jordan, Autumn, Daniel, Sloan, and Brock; and five great-grandchildren, Jolie, Rowan, Harrison, Lorelei, and Amelia.
Visitation will be held at 10:00am on Friday, August 31, 2018 in First Baptist Church Jacksonville Hobson Auditorium. The funeral service will be held at 11:00am in First Baptist Church Jacksonville Hobson Auditorium, 125 W Church St, Jacksonville, FL 32202, followed by interment in Chapel Hills Memory Garden, 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd. N. Jacksonville, FL 32225.
