Evelyn Inez Anderson

Evelyn Inez Anderson was born to Henry and Alene Wright on February 8, 1926. She had three siblings, Eddie Wright, Helen Homes and Daniel Wright. In 1945 she married Lee Roy Charles Flowers and had two sons Jackie Flowers and Ricky Flowers. In 1991 she married Nathaniel Anderson.

She leaves behind daughter-in-law Diane Flowers; grandsons Walter Flowers and Aaron Bethel; granddaughter Jonquil Flowers Mau; son-in-law Edwin Mau and granddaughter Jasmine Wilcox; great-grandchildren Jackson Bethel, Joyce Roxanne Mau, Jax Mau and Antonio Gooch; nephews Lamar Wright, Eddie Leon Holmes, Kenny Holmes; niece Dorothea Staten and a great host of other family members and loved ones.

Ms. Anderson graduated from Stanton High School and Florida Barber Collage. She retired from Florida Junior College. She was a long time member of St. Matthew’s Baptist Church, the moved to The Potter’s House International Ministries under Bishop Vaughn McLaughlin and Lady Narlene McLaughlin.

Ms. Anderson was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a great woman of God and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 3:00 pm with Pastor James Byrd officiating.
