Ethel Elizabeth Frier Carroll, 70, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 6, 2010. Born in Mayo, FL moved to Clewiston, FL then to Jacksonville in 2001. She was a member of Yukon Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edna Pauline Hingson and Belvie Jennings Frier and her husband Lamar L. Carroll. Survivors include 3 sons, Larry Lamar Carroll Jr., David Wayne Carroll (Denise) and Glenn Allen Carroll, daughter, Joyce Marie Carroll, 2 brothers, J.C. Frier (Ruth) and B.J. Frier IV, 3 sisters, Geneva Parmelee (Richard), Charlotte Brooker (Fred) and Eleanor Bales (Evan), grandson, Michael Wayne Carroll, caregiver and friend, Christine Savage and a host of other relatives and friends. She was also devoted to her cherished pet Tia. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 10, 2010 in the Town and Country Chapel, 7242 Normandy Blvd. The family will receive friends this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Riverside Memorial Park.
