Eric William Schrader

Eric William Schrader passed away on August 9, 2021 at the age of 50 after battling covid-19. He passed away at Baptist Hospital with his devoted wife, Kristie, by his side. Eric was born on August 5, 1971 to Gary W. Schrader and Marie Blake in St. Joseph, Michigan. While serving in the U.S. Navy as a deep sea diver, Eric made his way to Jacksonville, Florida. Eric and Kristie were married in the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine and later welcomed three children to their family. Eric leaves behind the lights of his life, wife Kristie, and children, Max, Eli, and Vivian and beloved dog Cyrus. He is also survived by his mother, Marie Blake (Tony), stepmother Donna Schrader, brothers Shawn Schrader (Kim), Ken Jacob (Elissa), Kevin Jacob (Heather), Anthony Blake (Brianna) and numerous nieces and nephews. Eric was predeceased by his father, Gary W. Schrader.

Eric enjoyed spending time with his family camping, boating and soaking in God's beauty at the beach. He will be greatly missed by many.

Funeral arrangements include a visitation on August 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church, 2403 Atlantic Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207 followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. The burial ceremony with military honors will occur at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32218 at 2:00 p.m. (same day).
