Eleftherios Thliveros

He was born on September 22, 1928 in Piraeus, Greece to the late Konstantino and Flora Thliveros. Teddy arrived in the United States in 1958 where he met and married the love of his life, Theodora Mantas at St. John the Divine Greek Orthodox Church and became a lifelong member.

He owned and operated many restaurants through the years and devoted his life to the Church, his Family and Friends.

Teddy is survived by his son Peter (Valeria) and grandsons, Justin Matheny and Eleftherios Nicholas (Melissa). He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 52 years, Theodora “Rhoda” Mantas, his brother-in-law, Ikey Mantas as well as his brother and sister-in-law, James and Dionysia “Ceia” Rogers.

Services will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Divine Greek Orthodox Church, 12760 Beach Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32246 followed by a Makaria at the church. The interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery 4535 N. Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206.
