Born 02/09/1939 in Okolona, Arkansas died 03/25/2023 Jacksonville, FL. She is survived by her Son Anthony R McMullin, grandson Sean McMullin, and Daughter in law Susan McMullin.
Dorothy, who went by Dot, was born into some of the harshest economical times of our age. She was raised in a small rural cabin by her mother Myrtle Breckenridge and father William Earl Breckenridge, with a sister and 6 brothers. Dot worked hard and graduated High school in 1956. She then met Alvin H McMullin Jr. and married him in 1958. They would have their one and only son Anthony R McMullin in 1960. Through the 60's and early 70's she would balance her jobs of being a mother and homemaker with a career as a secretary for an architectural firm, then a saving and loan company. She would make the decision in the early 1970's to focus on her role as mother and homemaker. She would go on to be a devoted Grandmother and nurse to her late husband. Through all of this till the end she was always a devoted Christian to both God and the church she was a member of. As a mother, she was always devoted to her son. In her travels through life, she had the lord by her side. With his word always showing her the way. With his final word to her; “It is now time to come home.” Now she is not lost, for she definitely knows the way.
She will have a graveside service on 03/31/2023 at The Jacksonville National Cemetery for those who knew Her starting at 9:30am.
