Dorothy Ethelene Budd

Dorothy Ethelene Budd, age 88, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025. She was born in Joslin, MO on May 2, 1936 to Paul and Hazel Buttrum. She married Arvil Budd, Jr on April 24, 1959.

She worked in Civil Service at NAS Cecil Field and NAS Jacksonville, FL.

Dorothy loved cake decorating, cooking, sewing, and camping. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Gloria Chapter #159 New Jersey. She was involved as Den Mother with Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, was active in DeMolay, Rainbow Girls and Job's Daughters.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Arvil Budd, her parents, 2 brothers and a sister.

She is survived by sons, Randolph Lee Budd, Jr. and David Wayne Budd, Sr.; daughter, Robin Lynn Budd; grandchildren, Randy Budd, Jr., Jennifer Summercill, Brandon Childs, Laura Mysac, Kristi Wood, David Budd, Jr., Daniel Budd, Danielle Budd and Dylon Budd, also many great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Jim and Robert Buttram of MO.; among other family and friends.

A visitation for Dorothy will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A celebration of life will occur Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at 3:00 PM, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A committal service will immediately follow the chapel ceremony at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
