I was saddened to hear that Donna Smith has passed away.  She was a sweet, kind, wonderful loving person, and Mother who loved life.   I will always have the memories from the time with Donna, Jimmy, and the Smith family when living in Jeremy's Landing.  She was like a second mother to my sons Andrew & David Donahue and good friend.  The kids grew up in Jeremy's Landing, we went on vacations together, had parties, and private gatherings, and will always cherish those Memories of us all together.   She will be missed, with all my deepest sympathy, may she rest in peace, and condolences to the entire Smith Family.

Donna and I were friends from childhood. We attended the same schools, church,and attended Rainbow Girls together.. I have many great memories as during our junior and senior year I picked Donna up for school everyday along with a few others girls. We had many great laughs, conversations,and we all helped each other with our girls issues. Donna and I dated guys that were also good friends so we double dated,, went to the proms together and went on to marry these guys. We were in each other weddings, and we were still close through our children being born. As life developed we lost touch with each other but I have never forgotten the great memories that we had. Donna without saying was one of the most sincere, kind, loving ,and soft spoken people that I have ever known. She always made sure that those around her were comfortable and went out of her way to be sure everyone was ok. Her crown today is as beautiful as her sweet spirit and soul is. Dear Jim, David, Brandon and family,  our heartfelt condolences on you’re loss.  We lived for 18 years across the street from the Smith’s.  Donna and I Loved spending time just chattting about family, gardens or whatever was going on at the time.  She was someone Kirk and I Loved to see, like family💕 So easy to be with.  After we moved to Ponte Vedra she helped my husband set up his home office.  Always a gracious lady,  like a sister.  You will be missed and always remembered sweet Donna!

Donna and I met as teenagers through mutual friends.  She was such a sweet girl,  She was funny and friendly.  She will be missed by so many.

We only meet Donna  a few years back when we moved into the  neighborhood  .  We spent many dinners at each other’s houses  and almost every afternoon visiting . We are blessed to have  meet you and  we miss you 😘. Thank you for the friendships . Payers of comfort to Jimmy , David , Brandon and family ! Donna is my niece but we were only 5 years apart.  Many sweet memories of growing up together.  With a large family there was always something happening.  Many good times and a tiny dab of getting in trouble.  Love you.  

Donna was such a sweet and caring person. She greeted teachers, parents, and children with a smile. She was always helpful when you had a question. I have not seen Donna since she retired, but I will always remember how excited she was to be retiring, and moving to N.C. I am sad that she could not live her life there. I hope that she is at peace, and having a good conversation with Caroline Rademacher, Joan Drake, and others that have passed before her. She will be missed by so many, especially me.

I will never forget Donna Smith’s kindness to children and teachers at Loretto Elementary.   She used to  share recipes.  One of my favorites is her cranberry cheesecake.   I create one each winter and always think of Donna.  She showed so much love for her children and grand children.  I feel blessed to have known and be touched by a truely good and caring person.

It wasn't only the hundreds of students who Donna mothered, she watched over countless teachers, including me, over many years.  We retired the same day. I helped her with the computers, she helped me with the principals. (My job was easier.)  I loved her. She will be greatly missed.  Heaven knows what she and Rademacher are up to in heaven! Laughing, no doubt about it!

Jimmy and Family:   We have so many wonderful memories of spending time with you all in Jeremy's Landing and after we moved to Rockledge.  We will never forget how we met and how we immediately became friends.  Donna was like a sister to us and she will be missed.  Sending loving thoughts your way.  Love, Sandy and Jack Williams
