Donna S. Bentley

It is with great sadness that the family of Donna Smallwood Bentley of Jacksonville, FL, announces her passing after a difficult battle with cancer. Donna went to be with her Lord on September 17, 2016. She will be remembered for her incredible strong, gentle, and loving spirit, by her family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother and her grandchildren were the love of her life. Born on February 2, 1939 in Bevinsville, KY, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Bentley of Jacksonville, FL; her parents, Virgil and Rebecca Hall Smallwood; nephew, Scotty Smallwood, all of Bevinsville, KY.

She is survived by her two sons, John W. Bentley Jr. (Carol) and grandchildren, Brandi and Justin Bentley of Green Cove Springs, FL; Donald S. Bentley of Jacksonville, FL; 3 sisters, Frankie White of Eustis, FL, Jean Hall and Terri Newman; 2 brothers, Franklin and L. P. Smallwood of Bevinsville, KY; 4 nieces and 2 nephews; specials friends, Carolyn Griffin, Edna Watson, Jane and Mike Parnin.

A graveside service will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 10:00am, with Nathan Zink, officiating. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257 or the charity of your choice.
