Donald Ray Tate

Donald Ray Tate, age 87, of Auburn, Indiana passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023. Donald was born in Richmond, KY on October 4, 1935 to Gordon Tate and Audrey Tate. Donald served in the US Navy for 4 years. He also attended Luther Rice Seminary and obtained his Bachelor's degree. Donald served in ministry for 40 years. Donald married Dolores Tate on June 7, 1958. During his spare time he enjoyed fishing, gardening and Kentucky sports.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Audrey Tate; brothers Richard, Harold Dean, and Caswell Tate; sisters Joyce Ann Holcomb, Janet Hurt, Maxine Patton, and Dorothy Wall; and great-granddaughter Gracie Tate. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Tate; son, Gordon Tate (Lorlei); daughter, Donna Davis (Keith); grandchildren Zachary Tate, David Tate, Jonathan Tate, Amanda Hatton, Ashley Malone, and Elizabeth Poston; siblings Raymond Tate, Wilma Tate Thomas, Maxey Tate, and Gladys Spillman; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

A graveside service for Donald will be held Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Pastor Larry McGinley will serve as officiant of services for Donald.
