I can't believe it has been a year.  I know it takes time to heal and I pray that your family is doing well.  You are still missed daily.

I am praying for the Pugh family every day, that God will comfort you with the many wonderful memories of David you have, and the reunion you will have with him in God's time. I have heard David's name here at work many times each day, and everyone is still speaking so highly of him - we miss him and will never forget all the good times shared. I am thankful that David is with God no suffering, only rejoicing.

Mr. Pugh is a tremendous Christian and wonderful man. He was like a second father in a way for me as well as many other young men in the church and will be missed greatly. Heaven is surely a little brighter place with his entrance.

David will live on as an inspiration to those who watched him continue his work as lay leader and even play his bass for Broadway Nites in the midst of dealing with the debilitating nature of his cancer!

We are always left wondering when those with so much to offer are taken from us sooner than seems right.  David is one of those.  We are left to dwell on the many great things he accomplished and the many he helped.  But, the void David will leave is great.

David;David;David, How long has it been since we met at Busy Bee day care here in Arlington.  Some how we were admitted to Nellie Custis Elementary School and advanced thru the grades.  You were the best safety patrol captain .  Junior high school was where we started our "musical" career.  You on the bass and me on the drums.  In Wakefield High I remember well the times you would throw peanut M&M's over the french hornes to land on the head of the timpani just to make a LOUD BANG.  David, you will be missed soooooooo much.  Now you have gone Home, to wait for the rest of us.  We all loved you in our own way.  Rest in peace.

Christian, kind, gentle, talented, best bass player, listener, smiling, willing, considerate....wow.  I could go on and on just listing words that described David.  He just had a way about him that gave me a sense of joy and comfort while playing his bass or "DJing" with you at a wedding.  God sure did know what He was doing when He made David! I have so many childhood memories of Mr. David and our second family that I will treasure forever. From the beach to every Christmas and holiday, he will forever be missed. Ms. Donna, Jennie, Laura, Paul, and families, we love you and will be here to help keep his memory alive forever.

A great man, a good friend, and a pleasure just to be around.  We are saddened by the news but joyful that the battle is done and he is in his final, peaceful reward with God.
