David Donald Brown

David graduated from East Port Shead High School and went on to dedicate 20 years of his life to serving in the United States Army being honorably discharged. In his post military life, he went on to study and graduate from Andover College, for Data Processing. Which he often told was due to working with the Army’s very first computers. Then later on he went on to St. Augustine Technical School to study Horticulture Nursery Operations.

David loved the outdoors; he loved growing many plants and having a large garden. He from a very young age has an interest in music. He played the Tuba in the school band. Later finding a passion for guitars & country music. He bought his first guitar and taught himself to play along with the radio. He had several bands during his life and in later years served on the music ministry at his church. In his retirement years he offered lessons to children in school. He volunteered at the elementary school working with special needs children.

He loved the Lord and served him on the music ministry as well as on the board of his church in Lehigh.

David is survived by his loving wife Linda (Critchlow) Brown, Son Donald D. Brown and children of La Porte Tx., daughter Davina (Brown) Leitzalar and Husband Fernando and their children. A special nephew Brian Greene and wife Sue, of Kennebunk, Me. As well as several nieces and nephews. He is preceded by his son David D. Brown Jr., of Palmyra, Me., His sister Viola (Brown) Price, of Me., Delores (Brown) Price, of Portland, Me., Brother Seymour Brown of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

David was well loved and a positive happy person with a joke and a smile for everyone.

Services will be held at Jacksonville Memorial Cemetery on November 4th, 2024 @ 11:30am.
