In fond remembrance of Codi, a vibrant soul who adorned life with the color pink and found joy in the grace of flamingos. Known for her love of lively gatherings and a penchant for a good cocktail, she brought a unique sparkle to every celebration.
As a devoted Nana to Nigel, Juel, and Raine, Codi shared her warmth and wisdom, leaving an indelible mark on her family. Beyond her culinary talents, she crafted unforgettable memories with her mean casserole, a testament to her love and care.
Residing in Blairsville, GA, and Jacksonville, FL with summers spent in Ashe County, NC, Codi embraced the beauty of diverse landscapes. Her adventurous spirit led her to traverse the United States twice in a RV, exploring the wonders of National Parks along the way.
From her early days as a Flight Stewardess for Southern Airlines in 1969 which then lead to her 36-year career as a dental hygienist and her commitment to The Northeast Florida Dental Association where she served as president from 1990-1991. It was during this time she became an Army Reservist for 11 years. Codi lived a life of service and commitment, her unwavering faith as a devoted Catholic provided strength and solace throughout her journey.
It was on the dance floor at T- Birds where Codi met the love of her life, Tony, and together they built a lifetime of shared joys. celebrating their 29th wedding anniversary this past December. Buttons and Rusty, her cherished feline companions, added warmth to her home.
As we bid farewell to Codi, let us celebrate the legacy of a women who embraced life with passion, kindness, and an adventurous spirit.
Codi is predeceased by her beloved parents Robert and Sylvia Jenkins. Codi is survived by the love of her life, Hugh, “Tony” Anthony Kimball, her loving “bonus” children, Sara Goldberg (Brett), Corey Kimball (Shelli), grandchildren Nigel Goldberg, Juel, and Raine Kimball, sister Melanie Jenkins, and Mary Ann (Paul) Kapke, Harry (Dair) Kimball, Patrick Kimball. Also survived by numerous loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A visitation for Codi will be held Monday, January 22, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary service at 6:30pm at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Legacy Lodge, 4801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, with a reception immediately following, 9800 Baymeadows Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32256.A private inurnment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery.
