Cinda Morgan passed away early Sunday morning, December 15, 2024, in Jacksonville Florida. She suffered a debilitating stroke in 2013 but continued to be a source of inspiration to her family for 11 years.
She was born Cinda Lee Braden in Ashtabula, Ohio on July 20, 1940. She was the oldest of three children born to Andrew and Betty Braden. Andy served in the military during the war, and the family lived in military housing. After the war, the family moved to Euclid, Ohio. Andy became a professor of accounting at Western Reserve University in Cleveland. While at Western Reserve she met Edward Morgan, a student at Case Institute of Technology, an adjoining university. They were married in 1964 and subsequently lived in Natick, MA, Jacksonville, FL, Cincinnati, OH, Orange County, CA, and then back to Jacksonville.
Cinda was a great bridge player and helped many friends achieve status in the game. She did not care about recognition for herself. She had a passion for reading and music, which she passed along to her four children. She was a member of the choir and served as choir director at Christ Lutheran Church in Jacksonville. She also served in that role at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Cincinnati. She will be missed by all those people whose lives she impacted.

She was predeceased by her daughter Samantha Lockard of Cincinnati. She leaves 5 grandchildren: Anna, Edward, Nicholas, Emrick, and Holly, and one great-grandson, Carrick. She is also survived by her brothers Eric Braden of Denver and Christopher Braden of Ohio, as well as her dear caregiver of the last several years, Waleska Vega.
