Christopher Bryce Jenkins, Sr., “Kit”, 42, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away February 17, 2013. He was born in Athens, GA, son of Leerie Thurman Jenkins, Jr. (Norma), and Peggy Egan, (nee Hamner), who survive him. He is also survived by his wife, Tina Marie Jenkins, his children, Casey Blaire Jenkins and Christopher Bryce Jenkins, Jr., his older brother, Leerie Thurman Jenkins, III, younger sisters, Georgia Haynes and Alexi Jenkins, and his maternal grandmother, Ruth Reed Hamner. He was predeceased by his grandfathers, William Bryce Hamner and Leerie T. Jenkins, Sr., and his paternal grandmother, Frances Watkins Jenkins.
Kit moved with his family to Jacksonville as a young child. He graduated from Wolfson High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Finance from The University of North Florida. He worked with Robert Half International.
Kit was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan, who enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his friends and family. He had a huge heart and a great love for animals, especially American Bulldogs, of which he had two.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 21 from 6 – 8pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville, Florida 32207. His service will be Friday at 11am at the funeral home with burial following at Oaklawn Cemetery.
