We  just heard about Chris' passing, and we want to let you know that we are  deeply sorry for your loss.  We were shocked and saddened to hear about his death. I cannot imagine the heartache you must feel. Words seem so inadequate to express our sadness. He was a wonderful young man, so kind and thoughtful, and I know he will be deeply missed by many.  Please know that our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

New neighbors can be challenging or easy. But rather soon we came together for our first encounter during a rather big hurricane clean-up. Chris and Heather’s property was covered by down trees and branches, and the clean-up pile grew taller than any of us. We learned that Chris was a man with skill and with tools, as he was on a mission with his chain saw.  
Then on the softer side as neighborly relations develop, Chris regularly sent Erin and Jack to our house with the invitation to come for s’mores being cooked outside over his fire pit. Too sweet for us but more importantly it represented his devotion to Erin and Jack. They love s’mores!!!
As time passed  Chris enjoyed playing 8 ball on our pool table, and his talent for winning was obvious—it wasn’t his first time around a pool table!!!! And his stories reflected a full mariner’s life. 
We will miss seeing you play catch with your 4 legged  Lucy on Saturday mornings.

Chris was my Port Engineer. He was a very big reason the Pacific Reliance is in the shape it is in. He was a really big help for me. He would call the vessel before weather events and check with us to make sure we were monitoring the weather. He would call during the weather and after checking with us. He was Family to us on the Vessel. One story I have about Chris is when he first started with Crowley he had come from Bouchard. He had contacts in Houston/Galveston area. We needed our A/C looked at and he contacted a contractor in Houston/Galveston Area. He called them and left a message with his name and phone number. They did not call him back because they thought he still worked for Bouchard. We laughed about it later but he was ticked off at the contractor and had to contact them letting them know he now worked for Crowley. They attended the vessel. Chris was a Friend and will be greatly missed.

There are no words.  We are so sorry for your loss.  Sending our love. 

I could seriously write a book here. Chris and I were pretty much inseparable during the "growing up" years.  k-12. And with that came so many incredible memories! We were so stupid! Nothing we ever did was a "good" idea. We almost flipped trying to water ski behind a 10hp aluminum. We got rescued on a tiny Hobie once. Tangled and a drift, like a scene out of jaws. We played jokes on each other and laughed so hard it hurt! Many times! We got stuck on the side of a cliff once. We camped with our dads and fought with our dads. We walked on thin ice. We stole and got busted. We lifted weights like we were gonna be extra tough. We  played air guitar as if we were actually in Van Halen! We got our hearts broken. We hoped we were important enough to break hearts. We had a very tight circle of friends. I love all of you.  When I think of Chris I will always think about that incredible era and the "circle".  I just shed a tear for him and family. He would think I'm being soft. Jerk.
