Christina Marie Mathis

Christina Marie Mathis born March 27, 1986 went to be with the Lord April 29, 2022. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her mother, Cindy Mathis, her brother, Taylor Mathis, and many other loving extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Anderson Mathis, Jr. Christina was a devoted daughter and sister. Nothing was more important to her than family. She was born and raised in Saint Johns Florida. She received an Associates Degree from University of South Florida and most recently lived in Melbourne Florida. She loved children and enjoyed caring for them. She excitedly coached and developed the young girls of Upward Cheerleaders at Fruit Cove Baptist Church as they prepared for their competitions. She had an entrepreneur spirit serving others through her organizing business. She was a bright light in the lives of so many people and never meet a stranger. Most recently through her job at Holmes Regional Hospital, she spread joy, hope and love to the patients she served as well as her co-workers. She loved snow skiing, water sports and was truly a Florida Girl as she loved the Beach. She had an entertaining sense of humor and a heart and soul of gold. She was deeply loved by her family and friends and will truly be missed.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, May 14, 2022, Fruit Cove Baptist Church, 501 State Road 13, Saint Johns, FL 32259. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin, 11801 San Jose Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32223.
