Carol Ann Buckans

Carol Ann Buckans, age 76, passed away January 1, 2019 in Jacksonville, Florida. Carol was born on January 1, 1943 in Cleveland, Ohio to Harold Leroy Cowher and Norva Loretta Baker Cowher. Carol was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She had love and passion for her family, especially a love for her grandchildren. Carol was known for her passion and enjoyment of the game Bingo. She lived life to the fullest, and her family and friends will forever remember her always in their hearts.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Norva; and her spouse Harold Buckley, who passed away on June 23, 2008. She is survived by her children Loretta Sizemore (Marion), Mike Buckley (Betty), and Geoff Buckley (Wendy Donaldson); grandchildren Brandi Leigh Baldree (Lance), Dustin Sizemore, Zackary Sizemore, Tiffany Stevens (Dillon), Michael Buckley, Jr., Geoff Buckley, and Maycee Joiner; great-grandchildren Blake, River, and Brooks Baldree, Dakota Stevens, and one great-grandson due in April 2019, Dawson Michael Stevens.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
