Carol Albury, 72, passed away peacefully in her home in Jacksonville on June 10, 2023 with her family by her side. She leaves behind her husband Scott, two loving sons Ben(Ashley) and Matt(Kim), two step daughters Misty(Steve) and Robin. Also, four grandchildren: Dylan, Bailey, Samantha and Lexi. She is also survived by four sisters: Vicki (Jud), Diana, Marcia (Art) and Chris (Art) and a host of friends.
Carol graduated from St. Vincent’s Nursing School in 1972 and later obtained her MSN at UNF.
Over a 46 years as a nurse, she worked at St. Vincent’s Jacksonville, Northside Hospital Atlanta, St. Catherine’s Jacksonville, and Community Hospice Jacksonville. She later volunteered as a baby cuddler in the NICU at St. Vincent’s Southside.
She loved going to the beach and enjoyed watching sporting events. She was a Jaguar season ticket holder for over 25 years. She would attend the grandkids sporting events and cheer them on!
She enjoyed traveling, especially to national parks and visited Yellowstone, Yosemite, Acadia, Grand Canyon, Great Smoky Mountains, Grand Teton, Rocky Mountain, Shenandoah and Kenai Fjords.
