Bonnie June McCullough, age 84, passed away on May 3, 2018 in Baptist Medical Center South. She was born June 22, 1933 in Anthony, KS, the daughter of the late Harold C. and Sarah L. (Murphy) Pitser. She resided in Oklahoma for a short time and as a child relocated to Long Beach, CA where she grew up and received her education.
Bonnie retired from Orange County, CA as a Technician and Court Recorder. Prior to this she served for 10 years as Banquet Director for the University of Southern California. She dedicated 18 years of service on the Auxiliary Board of Baptist Medical Center Downtown where she also served as President in 2003. She was a member of Episcopal Church of Our Saviour. Bonnie was a giving and selfless person, always helping and getting involved in her community.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 29 years, James A. McCullough of Jacksonville; sons, Scott Gates of Jacksonville and Kevin W. Gates (Kathy) of San Juan Capistrano, CA; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren and her special friends, Barbara Strohmeier of Jacksonville, Kris Reynolds of New Jersey and Lou Ann Trakarian of Orange County, CA. She was predeceased by her daughter, Lisa Denise Gates of Houston, TX.
Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 25 at 11 a.m. in Church of Our Saviour 12236 Mandarin Rd. Jacksonville, FL.
