Ben Randall Phipps

Ben Randall Phipps “Randy”, of Jacksonville FL, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2013. He was born April, 24, 1951 in Kansas City, Kansas to the late Ben and Martha Phipps. Randy grew up in Middlesboro, Kentucky and was a 1969 graduate of Middlesboro High School. Randy was involved with the Boy Scouts of America from an early age and became one of the youngest member to attain the rank of Eagle Scout. He moved to Jacksonville in the late seventies where he attended and graduated from the University of North Florida. His career began as a representative for Provident Mutual Insurance Company and later for Southern Bell. Prior to his death, he was employed with Total Office Products, a company where he had the highest regards for the owner, fellow employees, and customers. Randy was always involved in social, civic, and charitable organizations, often serving on various committees.

Randy is survived by his daughter, Alyssa Phipps (Jill); son, Patrick Phipps (Sara); granddaughters, Vera and Sadie Phipps; siblings, Virginia Giles, Charles Phipps and Christine Phipps; as well as many close friends.

A Memorial service will be held at Hardage-Giddens, Hendricks Chapel, on Monday, September 9, 2013 at 6:00 p.m.
