Barbara J. Waters of Bryceville, Florida went home to be with the Lord on August 10, 2013 after a year long battle with ovarian cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, William Waters who she shared 51 years of marriage prior to his death in 2009. Mom was born in Jacksonville, Florida on March 18, 1938 to Simon Leroy Hargraves and Ollie Virginia Curling. She was an amazing testimony of Gods faith and an active member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville. Mom was generous, loving, caring, and enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved gardening, traveling, camping and spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter Cheryl (Ronnie), and her son Vaughn (Stacy). Five grandchildren, Meagan, Macy, Victoria, Rachael and Brandon, and one great grandchild, Ayla. Three sisters Betty Rigdon of Jacksonville Florida, Martha Waters of Murrayville Georgia and Nancy McPherson of Long Beach Mississippi and many other family members and friends. Her home going service will be held at Town and Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends and loved ones at 12:00 pm. Her nephew, Pastor Dennis Tyson will officiate.
