Bobbi married at age 17 and then attended Jones College. She worked for Prudential and later spent 17 years as a homemaker, caring for her children, her gardens, her home, and bookkeeping for her husband's self employed career.
Later in life she divorced and rejoined the workforce from the bottom up, starting out as a daycare worker for infants, and later getting into the furniture industry, first at Rhodes furniture and later at Ashley Furniture, where she was promoted into accounting and worked for many years up until her retirement in 2019.
Bobbi's favorite things in life were spending time with her mother, her children, and her grandchildren. She was an avid gardener, favoring beautiful succulents, cacti, and bromeliads. She was a creative soul with an eye for design and a love for crafts and creating. She loved all things relating to the beach and the ocean such as fossils, shells, sea turtles, and clown fish. We will have many fond memories with her from trips traveling Florida, having fun family dinners, and daytime outings of "shop 'til you drop".
She is preceded in death by her mother Jean, her father Buddy, and her brothers Justin and Matt.
She is survived by her children Kristin and Lee, her son-in-law and daughter-in-law Bobby and Cindy, her grandchildren Everly and Jack, and her ex-husband Keith with whom she shared 27 years.
She will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Memory Gardens on January 1st, following a private gathering of close family and friends led by Reverend David Jackson at 1pm.
Donations in her honor can be made to sea turtle rescue or breast cancer research.
She was a beautiful soul who we will miss greatly.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.hardage-giddenschapelhills.com for the Martin family.
