Anthony David "Butch" Berry, age 57, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2019 surrounded by his family and loved ones. Butch received his BS Degree in Criminology from Florida State University where he became a lifelong Seminole fan. He earned his JD from Cumberland School of Law. Butch was a well-respected and well-loved attorney in Jacksonville, Florida where he began his legal career as a prosecutor before becoming a criminal defense lawyer dedicated to making sure his clients received the absolute best representation they could get. Those that knew him, however, know that his generosity and eagerness to always lend a hand was not reserved just for his clients. Butch had a heart of gold and consistently wanted to help those in his life in any way he knew how. Outside of the law, there was perhaps nothing that he enjoyed more than a good round of golf with his buddies. His family will remember him as the absolute best husband and father who was always there to be a mentor, provider, and comedian whenever needed.
He is survived by his wife Tina, his two children Walker and Caylen, as well as his mother Jonalyn, his brothers Ron and Scott, his sisters Karen and Kandee, and numerous nieces and nephews whom he adored. He is predeceased by his father Cecil, his brother Steve, grandmother and grandfather Ethelyn Walker and J.D. Walker.
