Amber was born to Vicki and David on July 6th, 1990 in Parkersburg, WV moving the same year to settle into her lifelong home of St. Johns, Florida. Amber was energetic and a funny young girl who loved to be outside just as much as she loved playing with dolls and makeup. In her younger years, she could be found outside in the pool or swinging in the tree next to the trampoline in the front yard. Amber loved watching wrestling with her family and spent many nights hosting sleepovers with all her friends. She graduated from St. Johns Technical High School's Academy of Culinary Arts, in St. Johns County Florida in 2009.
A hard worker, Amber spent many years working at Publix, Gate Petroleum, and as a Mary Kay consultant, where she was loved by all. Amber was a brilliant mind and a gentle soul, a rare combination on our earthly home. Her sparkling blue eyes had the ability to read the room and find the best in the worst people. Never one to judge, she was always kind to everyone. She never met someone she did not call a friend. She loved the Lord with all of her heart and kept her faith through her battle with cancer. A battle she was able to win thanks to her amazing team of doctors and nurses at Mayo Clinic. Then Amber got a rare blood disease. Amber will be dearly missed and remembered always for her love, strength, wisdom, compassion, and empathetic nature.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 14th at 1:00 pm followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 pm conducted by Pastor Wes Flough at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin, 11801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL. 32218
In addition to flowers, the family would also appreciate donations on Amber's behalf to the Bone Marrow & Cancer Foundation https://bonemarrow.org/give or to the Mayo Clinic https://philanthropy.mayoclinic.org/donateMC
