Alice Irene Staszak

Alice Irene (nee Gunderson) (Buda) Staszak, of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, died November 17, 2017, at St. Vincent's Hospital. She was 93 years old. Mrs. Staszak was preceded in death by her first husband, Benjamin Robert Buda (d. 1960), her second husband, Raymond Eugene Staszak (d. 2001); her parents, George B. Gunderson and Sadie Joyner Gunderson; and her sisters, Ruth Gunderson Peglow, Juanita Gunderson Mazzillo, and Rose Marie Gunderson. Mrs. Staszak is survived by her children, Benjamin Robert Buda, Jr., Bernadette Buda Rowe, Carolyn Buda Pierce, and Cathryn Buda Wilson, 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 8 nephews.

Mrs. Staszak grew up in Mayport, Florida, and lived in California and New York before returning to the beaches area in 1960. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Jacksonville Beach for 57 years.

Funeral services will be held at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens Funeral Home, (850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225) on Saturday, December 2, 2017 with Father Kelly officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your preferred charity in Alice Staszak's name.

Interment will follow in the Chapel Hills Memory Gardens Funeral Home, (850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225).

A reception will follow at 1st Baptist Church Ortega Campus, 4865 Roosevelt Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32210.
