Janice Marie McAllister

Janice Marie McAllister, 50, passed away on August 22, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Waterville, Maine on June 20, 1963 to Connie and Arthur Noonan. Jan graduated from Waterville High School and the Wilma Boyd School. She lived in Freeport, Maine and Sparta, New Jersey before moving to Jacksonville in 2001. While in Jacksonville, Jan was very involved at Assumption Catholic School as HSA President, substitute teacher and volunteer in many other aspects. She enjoyed traveling, going to the beach and spending time with her family. Jan was known for her warm heart, selflessness and overall good nature that touched every person she met. She had a way of making anyone feel so special and cared for.

She is survived by her loving husband and soul mate of 30 years, David, children Ryan, Amanda and Graham Lazarus, granddaughter Quinn Joy Lazarus, mother Connie Noonan, siblings Jackie Kellenberger, Tony Noonan and Patrick Noonan and many other relatives and dear friends that brought so much happiness to her life.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Monday, August 26 with a rosary service starting at 7pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville Beach, FL. Funeral Mass will be held 3pm Tuesday, August 27 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 435 1st Ave. N. Jacksonville Beach, FL with Father William Kelly officiating.
