It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Debra Ann Knapp, 65, of Jacksonville, Florida. Deb passed away peacefully on April 16th, 2023. Her greatest joy in life was being a mom. She was her children’s biggest cheerleader. Deb was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, on December 26th, 1957 and grew up in McDermott, Ohio.
She also spent time in California and Key West, FL before settling in Jacksonville in 1983.
Deb is preceded in death by her father, Donald E. Brooks, her brother, Donald G. Brooks, brother-in-law, James Roberts, and nephew, Christopher Roberts.
Deb is survived by her mother Wilma Brooks, siblings Donna Roberts, Dinah Strayer (Lee), David ‘Char’ Brooks (Lori), her children, Mason and Brooke Knapp, stepchildren Bob Knapp (Kazumi), Jessica Knapp (Paul), step-grandchildren Luna and Bob V Knapp, nieces, Kaylee Roberts Musselwhite (Timothy), Whitney Walton (Steve), nephews Dane Brooks (Anna), Spencer Strayer (Marissa), great nephew, Brantley Musselwhite and Roman Walton, great nieces, Wynne and Wren Walton and country cousin, Chad Miller.
Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Thursday April 20th from 5-7pm at Beach Chapel by Hardage-Giddens 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250,
A Mass of Christian of Burial will be held on Friday April, 21st at 10 AM at
St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 2400 Mayport Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32233
Followed by a committal service at Beaches Memorial Park,1500 Main St., Jacksonville, FL 32233.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Debra's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
