He was born on November 19, 1935 in Jackson, TN to the late D.W. "Jack" Cain and Dorothy Mills Cain. Mr. Cain was the oldest of six children, Bobby, Katherine "Cissy" Carr (Husband Tom), Pete, Carolyn and Nettie. He graduated from North Side High School. He was a Salesman for Dalton Meat Company for many years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Carolyn and Nettie.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Nancy Taylor Cain of Jackson; his daughter, Christy Cain Gibbons (David); Grandsons, Cody Gibbons (Ashley), Ryan Gibbons (Alexis), Taylor Gibbons (Brittney); five great grandchildren, Oaklee, Willow, Addie, Elaina, and Charles; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 16, 2021 from 12 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Highland Memorial Gardens with Jacob Chamberlin officiating. Burial will follow the service.
