Wendell Holder

Wendell was born on June 1, 1929 in Chester County, the son of the late Cecil and Odessa Murchison Holder. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Beech Bluff. Wendell worked for Pepsi Bottling Company in Jackson and retired from Fugi Film. He served his county in the United States Army in the Korean War from January 16, 1951 to December 17, 1952. In addition to his parents, Wendell was preceded in death by his wife, Syble Bain Holder in 2013.

He is survived by his children, Terry Holder (Cindy), Dwain Holder (Karen) and Teresa Holder Barnwell (David); seven grandchildren, Shelby Wright (Todd), Amber Hood (Richard), Megan Barnwell, Harley Morrissey (Amber), Elise Morrissey, Tessa Holder, and Holly Holder; two great-granddaughters, Addison Hood and Tenley Wright; two sisters, Betty Melton and Susie Spradlin; and a brother, Joe Holder (Jean). The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. Graveside funeral services for family and friends will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 26 at Friendship Cemetery, 755 New Friendship Rd., Beech Bluff, TN with Jeremy Smith officiating.
