Viriginia was born on April 25, 1926 in Jackson, TN, the only child of the late Albert Frederick Brown and Mardie O'Neal Clark Brown. She was a graduate of J.B. Young High School and a member of Bemis Chapel Baptist Church and later on she and her husband attended Meridian Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Warren Cleary; her daughter and son in law, Jerry David and Lawanna Gail Johnson; and her grandson, Ashley Scott Murtaugh.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Ward (Jerry) of Jackson; grandchildren, Angela Crook (Clay) and her children Olivia and William, Debra Pigott (Jon) and her children, Zoe and Luke, and Susan Trimmer (Mark) and her daughter, Shea LaFont.
Funeral services for Mrs. Cleary will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 1 p.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with burial following in Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon, one hour prior to the service.
