Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 1 p.m. in the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home with interment to follow at Ridgecrest Cemetery.
Stephen was born in Jackson, Tn on October 21, 1951 to Marion Hays Russell and the late J.W. Russell. Steve retired after 21 years of service to the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Prior to this, he was a school teacher for 15 years at Dyer and worked at Gibson County 911.
He is survived by his daughter, Ashley Russell of Jackson; two sons, Stephen Russell Jr. (Amber) of Oakfield, TN and Christopher Russell of Jackson, TN; sister, Emily Fewell (Hal) of Jackson, TN and Rosemary Cobanaw of Jackson, TN; and six grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Marion Hays Russell.
Visitation with the family of Stephen Russell will be held on Friday, December 26, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. in the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home.
