Born on April 26,1946, in Memphis, Tennessee, Stanley dedicated his life to his faith, his family, and his career in the oil and gas industry, where he served as a senior engineer for many years. He loved flying, going to the beach, and his kids and grandkids.
Known for his integrity, strong work ethic, and commitment to those around him, Stan's leadership and guidance touched the lives of many. A devoted Catholic, he found strength and purpose in his faith, which was a cornerstone of his life and values.
Stan will be remembered for his warmth, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to his family, friends, and faith community. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and love.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Constance Ann Johnson, as well as his parents, William Johnson and Mary Louise Johnson.
He is survived by his brother, Billy Johnson and his wife, Lynn Johnson; his daughter, Laura Johnson Chalfant, and her husband, Steve Chalfant; his son, Phillip Johnson, and his wife, Ronda Johnson; his niece, Stephanie Darnell, and her husband, Daniel Darnell; his grandson, Travis Barrette, and his wife, Lilia Barrette; his granddaughter, Meagan Barrette; his step granddaughters, Brandi and Nikki Chalfant; his great granddaughter, Lily Barrette; his great grandson, Daniel Barrette; his current wife, Beverly Stadinger Johnson; her daughter, Elizabeth Somers; her son Robert Stadinger, and his wife, Angie Stadinger; her granddaughter, Samantha Somers; her grandson, Ben Somers; her granddaughter, Madelyn Stadinger Hefner, and her husband, Hutch Hefner; and her grandson, Spencer Stadinger.
Stanley Johnson's family will receive friends beginning on Friday, November 15, 2024 at 10 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Jackson, Tennessee. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
A committal and burial service will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 pm at Historic Calvary Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee.
