She was born on October 1, 1948 in Newton, MS, the daughter of the late Rev. W. L. “Bill” Stroud and Jean Tatum Stroud. Melba was a devout Christian, and a member of First Baptist Church Bemis. She was a retired accountant from Kustom Inc.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Greyson Walker Clark.
She is survived by her husband, Ronney Ivey of Jackson; her sons, Chip (Ashley) Clark, Marty Clark, Jarrod (Alisha) Clark, Cameron (Melissa) Clark. Grandchildren, Derrick Clark, Ally (Reggie) Fleming, Kaden Hall, Caden Clark, Tanner Clark, Reid Clark, Linley Clark, Evie Clark. Great Grandchildren, Rylee, Jay, Kane, and Rowan Fleming.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at First Baptist Church Bemis, 116 Bemis Lane, Jackson. The celebration of life services will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church Bemis with Bro. John R. Gaters officiating. Burial with a committal service at 1:30 pm will be at Caraway Cemetery in Lexington, TN. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am on Thursday, one hour prior to the service.
