Lola Elizabeth Woods

Mrs. Woods, age 90 of Jackson, passed from this life on Friday, October 29, 2010. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m., Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at the George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel. Burial will follow in the Highland Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. She was born on January 10, 1920 in Perry County, TN to the late William T. and Myrtle Marshall, and was a long time employee of Mid-South Textile, retiring after working over twenty years. Lola was a very active Member of Westover Baptist Church, singing in the choir, teaching Sunday School for fifty years, and was well loved by all in the Westover Community. She is survived by her sons, Wayne McPeake, John B. Woods III both of Jackson and Jim Woods of Mechanicsville, VA; two daughters, Judy Moser and Kathy Woods both of Jackson, TN; nine grandchildren. Other than her parents, Mrs. Woods is going to meet her late husband, John B Woods II; four brothers; four sisters; and one grandchild that preceded her in death. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association .
