Linda Faye Dunaway

She was born in 1929 in Mercer, TN to the late Jacob Lockard and Gracie Cleo Wilson Frye. She married William Grant Dunaway on October 27, 1956 and they were married 47 years until his death in 2003. She was a member of Malesus United Methodist Church. She worked in retail sales working in the shoe department at Kisbers Department Store. She lived at St. Mary Manor for four years and enjoyed the time she spent there as well as her neighbors and friends.

She is survived by a daughter, Donna Hampton and husband Rick of Jackson, TN; two grandsons, Scott Dunaway and wife Stacey of Henderson, TN and Jeff Dunaway and wife Tia of Walnut Hill, IL; four great grandchildren; and a Daughter-In-Law, Ricky Kay Dunaway of Walnut Hill, IL.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Dunaway. She was the last living of eleven brothers and sisters, imost recently deceased Shirley Collins, Joyce Lott and Billy Frye.

A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM at George A. Smith & Sons South Chapel. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.

A visitation will be conducted on Sunday, December 9, 2012 from 4PM - 8PM at George A. Smith & Sons South Chapel.

The family would like to thank the Tennessee State Veterans Home for their loving care and support to Mrs. Linda and the family during her time there.
