He was born on December 14, 1930 in Huntington, TN to the late Ernest Aaron and Blanche Manning Sellers. Mr. Sellers was a member of North Jackson Church of Christ and served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Sellers is survived by his wife of 53 years, Faye Dinkins Sellers; three sons, Joseph L. Sellers II of Jackson, Terry Sellers (Ruby) of Hendersonville, TN and Greg Sellers (Beverly) of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Aaron Davis (Nick), Cole, Austin and Amber and a brother, Ernest Sellers of Montgomery, AL.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Sellers was preceded in death by a sister, Ida Coon.
Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, November 18, 2011, starting at 1pm until the service at 3pm all held at George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel. Entombment will follow in Mausoleum at Highland Memorial Gardens.
