Jean was born on November 15, 1929 in Selmer, Tennessee. She was the fourth child of John Palmer Wilson and Ida Valery Higgins both from Adamsville, Tennessee. Jean graduated from Jackson High School and soon after married Howard Kelley Nerren (Barney) on September 18, 1949. They moved to Michigan where they lived until 1986. They were blessed with two daughters Pamela Jean Nerren Reviere (7-2-50) and Vickie Lynn Nerren Pohnert (12-2-55). Barney worked for General Motors Corp for 35 years and Jean the State of Michigan, Unemployment Security. They made many wonderful friends as members of First Baptist Church in Wayne, Michigan that lasted to this day.
They moved back to Jackson and lived in Springbrook Estates when they retired in 1986 to be closer to aging parents. They again made wonderful new friends when they became active at West Jackson Baptist Church. Barney, the love of her life, died in 2006 and Jean moved to 119 Henderson Road, where she lived until April 2022.
Jean was loved by many for her sweet spirit and gentle soul. She never met a stranger and wanted everyone to live in harmony and laughter. She definitely had stories and made us all laugh!
Jean was preceded in death by her parents and 7 siblings, Gerald Hampton Wilson, Mary Virginia Wilson Hayes, Alton Hayes Wilson, Norman Wayne Wilson, Charles Maxwell Wilson, Bobby Virgil Lyle Wilson, and Larry Lee Wilson. Also, two sons-in-law, Paul Owen Pohnert and Robert Jones Reviere, Jr. and Grandson, Robert Jones Reviere, III.
Jean is survived by two brothers Edsel Bryant (Whip) Wilson and Dwight Lynn Ross, her daughters and Grandchildren; Matthew Paul Reviere, Angie Weaver (Brandon), Mandy Hartman (Trent), Nathan Pohnert (Anna). She also leaves six great Grandchildren, Eleanor, Rachel, Tyler, Mason, Emma and Dillon. She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews across America!
