Graveside Services for Mr. James Franklin "Red" Young will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 1 p.m., in Ebenezer Cemetery, with burial to follow.
Mr. Young was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bemis. He believed strongly in community involvement and he showed that belief through his work with the Bemis YMCA, the Bemis Skating Center, and his role as a Dixie Youth Baseball Coach. Mr. Young was also a Veteran of the U.S. Army. During his working career, he worked for Murray Outdoor Products until his retirement.
Mr. Young is survived by his son, Jim Young (Jennifer) of Jackson, TN; one granddaughter, Bri Young of Jackson, TN; one great-grandson, Zander Smith of Jackson, TN and two sisters, Barbara Bridges of Jackson, TN and Brenda Finley of Shelbyville, TN.
Visitation with the Young Family will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., at the South Chapel. A second visitation will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., at the South Chapel.
