Elise Eaves Dew Rollins was born in Dresden, TN on October 28, 1925, the fourth child of the late Chester and Bessie Eaves. She passed away peacefully at home on Monday evening, November 7, 2016. She had five siblings whom she dearly loved: Durward, Buford, Louise, Charles, and Ralph, all who predecease her.
She and her family moved to Jackson, TN when she was just twelve years of age. She graduated from Jackson High School. She married her first husband, Robert B. Dew, who passed away in early 1947. They had a son, Robert B. Dew, Jr., who survives her. She later married her second husband, Nelson D. Rollins gaining two step daughters, Donna Short (Kenneth) and Teresa Ellington (James) who survive her. Within a few years, Elise gave birth to a daughter, Mary Beth Paschall, who survives her. Elise worked at Star Laundry, Park Cleaners, and the Jackson Housing Authority, retiring in 1987. She enjoyed fishing in Lick Creek with Nelson, who passed in 1995.
She cherished her grandchildren, two of her favorite people, Robert and Maribeth Paschall, and made wonderful memories with them. For many years, she played Rook with her sister and best friends, and enjoyed traveling. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for 69 years, the Mary Martha Sunday School Class, and the Merry Makers Choir.

Elise was an outspoken and quick witted person who gave her opinion freely, even when it wasn’t sought. In her company, there was never a dull moment. When she made a friend, it was a friend for life.
Her presence on Earth will be greatly missed but welcomed in Heaven.
