Mrs. Earlene was born on November 23, 1933 in Jackson, TN to the late Earl Venable, Sr. and Ruby Hayes Venable. She was educated in the Jackson City Schools and attended North Side High School. She married George T. Henderson on November 23, 1950 and they made their home in Jackson where she was a homemaker and raised her children. She was a member of Englewood Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George T. Henderson; two sons-in-law, Owen Garner and Jim Stafford; great grandchildren, Carl Douglass Keck and John Robert Brown; and her brother, Earl Venable, Jr.
Mrs. Henderson is survived by her children, Linda Henderson Garner, Vickie Henderson Stafford, Tommy Henderson (Brenda), and Rickey Henderson (Diane); grandchildren, Lisa Brown (John), Jimmy Stafford (Angie), Mark Stafford (Brandy), Janna Henderson, Jacob Henderson (Janesa), Rachel Henderson Clair (Dan), Katie Henderson Keck (Cody); great grandchildren, Kyle Brown (Courtney), Abby Stafford, A.J. Stafford, Charlotte Kathleen (Charlie) Stafford, Briggs Henderson, Riley Henderson, Madison Jane Henderson, Kellen Arthur Keck, and Kaden George Keck; two great great grandchildren, Lisa-Maria Brown and Vanessa Rose Brown; and her brother, John Venable.
Services to celebrate the life of Earlene Henderson will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with Bro. Don Dyer officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends beginning at 11 a.m., two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers to serve will be Rickey Henderson, Tommy Henderson, Jimmy Stafford, Mark Stafford, John Brown, Kyle Brown, Jacob Henderson, Dan Clair, and Cody Keck.
