Doris Mary Eddy

Funeral Mass for Doris M. Eddy, age 84, will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 6th, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Monsignor Kirk will be officiating and burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Eddy died January 1st, 2012 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in The Woodlands, TX.

She was born on August 10th, 1927 in Boston, MA, the daughter of the late Carson James McLellan and Cecelia Courtney McLellan. She graduated from Secretarial School in Boston and spent her life caring for her family, devoted to all her friends, and as a strong member of the church. She was a recipient of the Mater Dei award at St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Guerra and son-in-law Canzio of Spring, TX; one son, Walter Eddy of Jackson, TN; grandchildren, Laura Mathus and husband Martin, Julie Guerra of Spring, TX, Justin L. Eddy, Michelle Eddy and Misty Gordon of Jackson, TN; great-grandchildren, Liam and Stella Mathus, and Riley Reed;

and sister, Jean Jianos of Foxboro, MA.Mrs. Eddy was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Lawrence Eddy and her sister, Catherine.

Memorials may be directed to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX or the American Cancer Association.

The family will receive fiends Thursday, January 5th from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., with a rosary to be held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
