He was born on October 20, 1947 to the late J.C. and Doris Blackwood Roberts. He served his country in the United States Air Force. Dan and Jane are members of Englewood Baptist Church. He loved the Lord, his family, and his cologne.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Jerry Roberts and his wife, Gayle, and Jane Driver.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Jane; children, Tamara Roberts Fortner (Darren) and Lindsay Roberts Quicci (Patrick), Trip Bennett (Mary), Mark Bennett (Elizabeth), and Teresa Bolton (Brad); grandchildren, Tiffany Harris (Charles), Samantha Bonnet (Casey), Blake Hooks (Lauryn), Kristina Fortner, Jack Biggs, Caroline Bennett, Grace Bennett, Mary Bennett, Hunter Bennett, and Parker Bennett; great grandchildren, Addyson Harris, Ryleigh Fortner, Aubree Harris, Roland Bonnet, Charlotte Harris, and Patrick Bonnet; brother, David John Roberts; sister-in-law, Gini Roberts; brother in law, Johnny Driver; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 9-11 a.m. at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. officiated by Bro. Larry Murphy. Burial will follow with full military honors in Ridgecrest Cemetery.
