Christa Ruth Tarpley-Winslow

Christa was born on August 27th, 1943, to the late Cecil Leon Tarpley, and Francis Carlson-Tarpley. Christa was born in Bellville, TX 1943 and later moved to Jackson TN in 1955 after her father got a job with TVA. She attended Jackson Junior High and graduated from Jackson High School in 1961. Christa continued her education at Union University and graduated from their two-year nursing program in 1964 and would go on to obtain her four-year RN degree from Union as well.

She married William Ralph Winslow Jr. on June 19, 1965. They would have three sons, Steve, Jeff, and Mark Winslow. Christa was a member of West Jackson Baptist Church of Jackson TN. She and her spouse had a wonderfully enjoyable retirement period together and were very close to their children. In her retirement she enjoyed gardening and bowling. She will be remembered as considerate and loving person who was willing to help anyone in need.

She is survived by her husband William Ralph Winslow Jr, and their three sons Steve, Jeff, and Mark Winslow. She is also survived by her sister Angla Hinson and nephew Bill Hinson.
