Walter S. Jordan, Sr. entered into rest on Thursday, April 21, 2022 in Raymond, MS. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 5 pm to 7 pm and Sunday April 24, 2022 from 2 pm to 3 pm at Lakewood Funeral Home. A funeral service will be on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at 3 pm at Lakewood Funeral Home with a graveside to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Walter was born in Ashland, MS to the late Hubert S. and Willard Mathis Jordan. He graduated from MS State University in 1959. He retired as Lieutenant Colonel from the Army Reserve. He also retired from MDOT as a registered professional civil engineer. Walter was a member and deacon at Pocahontas Baptist Church.
Walter is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joe M. Jordan; grandchild, Nathan Wayne Rowe and great grandchild, Crimson Jordan. He is survived by his wife, Patricia B. Jordan; son, Walter "Steve", Jr. (Mary); daughters, Nancy Berryhill (Ronnie) and Judy Simpson (Todd); sister, Frances May; grandchildren, Trey Jordan (Katherine), Philip Jordan (Lindsie), Joshua Simpson (Kimberly), Justin Simpson (Kendra), Jordan Simpson, Jacob Simpson (Melissa), Caleb Rowe (Emily) and Cori Everitt (Curtis); great-grandchildren, Jay George, Juleigh George, Southern George, Lane Jordan, Hannah Mason Jordan, Anna Jordan Rowe, Owen Everitt, Barrett Simpson, Benjamin Simpson, Bowden Simpson, Jeyden Simpson and Greyson Simpson.
