She graduated from Mississippi College with a degree in business. She served in her career as an HR Manager for McCarty Foods, Deposit Guaranty Bank, Skytel, WorldCom, and retired from Irby Electrical Supply.
She is survived by her loving husband Garland Lankford, her sons: Shane Bankston (Renee), Chad Bankston (Marcia), Brent Bankston, and her three step children: Jennifer Hulsey (Johnny), Robbie Lankford (Shannon), Mike Lankford (Megan). She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father Robert Morris, her mother Kathryn Morris, and her brother Michael Morris.
Services will be held at Terry Baptist Church in Terry Mississippi on Saturday, June 17, 2017. The family will receive friends in the chapel of the church from 9 am until 11am. The funeral will be at 11am with a private burial.
The family requests family and friends celebrate her sweet spirit and life through cut flowers and potted plants which she loved.
