John Robinson Bishop, III, 68, of Raymond, MS, passed away at UMMC in Jackson on June 29, 2021. Johnny was born in Jackson on January 9, 1953 to Joyce and John Bishop. He was a graduate of Provine High School and Mississippi College.
Johnny is survived by his wife, Susan, children, Alecia (Jody) Hasselbeck, John Bishop, Billy (Andrea) Bishop, Lindsey (Michael) Kuiper, Ashley (Joseph) Stephens, Jacob, Emily, and grandchildren, Caroline, Camille, Swayze, Roby, Aiden, Leah, Levi, Haydin, Adelynn, and Quinn. He is also survived by his brothers, Edwin Bishop and Kelly Bishop.
He worked at Packard Electric in Clinton for 33 years, enjoyed playing golf, and faithfully coached and attended hundreds of sporting events with his children and grandchildren. He was a devoted fan of the Ole Miss Rebels and Boston Celtics. He was known by all for his warmth, welcoming personality, and contagious laugh. Johnny was baptized at Midway Baptist Church in Jackson where he also participated in youth group and youth choir and was a long-time member and deacon at Faithview Baptist Church in Raymond. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Raymond. He was deeply loved, and will be greatly missed, by his family and friends.
