Verna Mae Heathman

Age 92, passed away on January 17, 2013, at Arbor Manor surrounded by her family. Verna was born in Pontiac, MI to Frank and Anna Bowers. She married the love of her life, Glenn R. Heathman, on June 1, 1944. Verna enjoyed sewing, crafts and golf, but her family was first and foremost in her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, her son, Brian, her parents and her brothers, Charles Bowers and Gerald Bowers. Verna is survived by her children, Robert (Sue) Heathman of Horton, MI, Sherry (David) Teriaco of Jackson, MI, Mark (Karyl) Heathman of Perris, CA, Donald (Cindy) Heathman of Hanover, MI, and Douglas (Roxanne) Heathman of Grandville, MI, as well as daughter-in-law, Marilyn Heathman, of Glendale, AZ. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Amy Teriaco, Randi Heathman, Nikole Torrey, Stephanie Heathman, Ann (Leif) Rolandson, Lyndsay (Eric) Truskoski, Amanda (Matt) Matthias, Zachary (Lindsey) Heathman, Kelly Heathman and Kevin Heathman, and two great grandchildren, Marcail and Aeden Truskoski. Also survived by a sister, Marilyn Wittkopf, of Milford, MI, sisters-in-law Dorothy Bowers of Tucson, AZ and Ann Heathman of White Lake, MI, brother-in-law Jim (Nancy) Heathman of Waterford, MI, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1505 West Michigan Ave., Jackson, MI on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service.
